Marrying the love of your life
This was the first wedding I had the pleasure of shooting in 2022.
I have to say that I still remember every detail.
Getting married can seem stressful; you may want everything to be perfect. What makes perfection in a wedding is the happines and love of the couple. You are marrying the love of your life!
Some advice I’d like to share, is to enjoy every moment. The Bride (Grace) and Groom (Zane) seemed so relaxed.
It was the end of Spring and beautiful day when I arrived at the venue. The wedding was at 5 East by Hali Mae Events in Mooresville, Indiana. The building has beautiful architecture and an amazing industrial style. Zane’s dad was practicing the guitar and testing the sound because he was going to play for the ceremony.
Grace was getting ready in the bride’s room with her bridesmaids. They were doing their own make up, chatting and having a nice time before the ceremony.
Some of groomsmen got dressed, while the others played ping pong. Zane practiced the song he wrote for Grace on his guitar.
They decided not to have a first look. Instead, Zane and Grace saw each other for the first time at the ceremony. Grace was wearing a beautiful boho-vintage style wedding dress by Casablanca Bridal and Zane’s suit was from Men‘s Wearhouse.
The ceremony was short and with so many emotions. We cried, we laughed, and witnessed great love!
We planned time for family & friends photos, and for the newly minted husband and wife after the ceremony.
Tip: Remember to leave enough time for photos as a new couple. Take a moment, just the two of you, and your photographer! Have fun, take some time to breathe, process and take in that you are now married!!!
Once the ceremony and formal pictures are done, enjoy your reception. Dance, sing, and share time with your loved ones! Your photographer will be there to capture all the amazing moments.
At sunset or what is referred to as the golden hour due to the softness it adds to pictures , I asked Zane and Grace if I could take more photos. Some minutes after, Grace’s favorite song started playing, their friends were calling for them to dance. Grace told them that they were busy but my reply was: Go!, it’s your wedding day and have fun!
The wedding ended with the beautiful song Zane had written and practiced for a very long time for Grace, the love of his life.
